ESTRIMA is the little sister of the Cromina string machine. It creates this famous, swirling sound with a minimum of hassle. Also, there is a choir voicing on board to treat your ears with this old “Aaahh”-sound. UnlikeCromina, it does not have the full polyphonic octave divider simulation, but a simplified phase lock for the 20 voices to reduce CPU load. There is a paraphonic envelope simulation too. Also on board is a 3x chorus and a deep phaser. The waveform-shape of strings and choir can be varied to achieve the sound of different vintage machines. Our next step in emulating classic analogue synthesizer sound! UNCLE SAM is the big brother of our SAM plugin, again featuring our VAE* technique to emulate analog circuit instabilities. This is the plugin version of how the musicians wished the Oberheim™ SEM module to be in that past times! We kept the warm sound and the clearly laid out user interface of the predecessor SAM and added all these nice functions, which were to expensive to realize in hardware in that time. UNCLE SAM now has full equipped envelopes, a third oscillator, a ring modulator and an effect unit with delay and chorus. There is a third envelope to control the volume of the ring modulator/noise source and/or the pitch of VCO2 . The third VCO can run as a sub osc or tuned between the fine-tune settings of the two main VCOs. There is an adjustable amplifier stage for all OSCs together with the ability to saturate the filter. Also, there are new filters: for the middle position between the lowpass and the highpass controller you may now choose between a bandpass, notch or comb filter. The filters can have 12 or 24db slope. Particularly the new 24db lowpass delivers a nice, droning sound. There are two FX often needed to complete a sound, and thus it makes sense to save them within a program: a delay and a chorus. The delay is host synced and ranges from up to 4 bars to a very short time, which can result in bizarre noise scapes when used with the nearly 100?edback. For the chorus, we offer you a dual-mono chorus with a sound similar to old Roland™ synths, and a more modern-sounding stereo chorus with a 6x unmodulated detune effect! Phazor is a free effect plugin, which emulates the phaser effect found in the Virus synthesizers, which helped make its characteristic sound. A lot of time was devoted to make it sound very close to the original and every control has been carefully adjusted to behave just like the phaser from the Virus. It has selectable 1 to 6 stage all-pass filters controlled by an LFO, with spread and feedback controls. Emulates 2 vintage tube reel to reels: a Revox F36 from 1962 (circuitry 1) and a Tandberg Model 3 from 1958 (circuitry 2). Apart from their differences, here the question is maintenance: while the Revox has been kept in immaculate condition (but retaining all good vintage components), the Tandberg has never seen any maintenance having all its original components (including a tube set of Telefunkens that are all testing as new). This plugin can be used to warm up your sounds, to simulate tape multi-tracking and/or to dirty up your sounds, it depends on the way it is used. The original template simulates the Revox and, by switching to Circuitry 2, you get the original Tandberg sound. Then you have all options open to change the sound: input/output levels, a very rare 15 ips feature was added (not present in the original Tandberg recorder), altering the tube saturation, changing the noise bias and level,...
