M/Ster Balance is a plugin designed for fast results. It allows you to control the tone of the sound and the stereo field with only 4 knobs through an intelligent algorithm. It features a transparent crossover filter that divides the signal in 2 bands: low (mono) and high (stereo). You control the balance of those 2 bands. Then the signal goes to a Mid-Side processor where you control the balance of the stereo field. A final gain stage allows you to compensate differences of level so you can compare the sound before and after the plugin processing. There is even a final onboard limiter (acts at 0dB FS - prevents clipping), if you ever need it. Based on technologies from several of my VST plugins (Master, Bass Bus, M/S EQ and Speaker Blower), those big knobs allow you to have total control over the sound. Complex multi-effect processor with pure alien style! With its original 5 "alien eyes" knobs, you can control several parameters simultaneously (or a percentage of an effect parameter)! Created when I was recently studying and researching on sound processing techniques based on phase, this plugin is a complete vintage compressor with internal Side-chain filters and M/S (Mid/Side) processing. This free LE version does not feature the Threshold and Mix knobs or their functions: it has a fixed threshold (-25 dB) and its set as 100% wet effect (you can´t blend it with the original signal). Use it to process any sound that needs dynamic processing. Use the side-chain feature to process only certain frequencies, leaving the other frequencies unprocessed. And last but not least , with the M/S feature, you can process dynamically only the Mid, the Sides or even achieve the famous NY parallel compression (50/50) but in M/S! Created when I was recently studying and researching on phase problems in surround recordings and sound processing techniques based on phase, this free plugin is very useful. It divides sound in Center and Sides (or Mid+Sides=MS). With it, you can control the Sides level between -6 and +6 dB. This effect is 100% transparent and allows you to: add/remove ambience, presence and /or reverb from stereo recordings; stereo field control; sound design; noise reduction/restoration and you can even use it on home mastering. On individual channels, you should use it for processing sounds that have phase problems (but where you want to keep the original characteristics) by slightly altering the signal by just 1 or 2 dB´s. Inspired in the effect with the same name of the EMU e6400 Ultra hardware sampler, this is not an emulation but an original and unique effect. In fact, it´s the only distorted chorus plugin available today! I was using it exclusively until now! Use it to warm, wide or even sick guitars, synths, voices and bass. This effect really works best on lo-fi, grungy or distorted and/or saturated sounds (listen to the provided demo). It sounds terrible on pads and other clean sounds.
